Floodwater Cuts Off Queensland Town, Submerges Bridge

Major flood warnings were issued for communities near the Balonne river, in South West Queensland, while an emergency declaration was introduced for St George.

This footage, filmed on February 25 and 26, shows the Balonne river rising at the Andrew Nixon Bridge. The water level had reached 10.8 metres, flooding over the bridge on Wednesday morning, and was expected to peak at 12.5 metres on Thursday, February 27, before receding, according to local authorities.
