Florida Deputies Capture Goat After Lengthy Chase

Deputies in Marion County, Florida, got a run for their money when chasing an escaped goat on April 26.

Footage released by Marion County Sheriff’s Office shows Victoria Hammons and Federico Peguero chasing after the hoofed escapee.

The chase went on for about five minutes, the sheriff’s office said.

Finally, a colorful knitted blanket was employed to grab the goat, which was returned to its owners.

The day was not over for the deputies, however; they were soon called to another nearby goat in distress – this time stuck in a fence.

Both animals were in good health after their run-ins with the law, and the sheriff’s office thanked the deputies involved for the ensuing entertainment. Credit: Marion County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
