Florida Deputies Find Man With Alzheimer's and Bring Him Home Safely

Florida sheriff’s deputies found a disoriented man with Alzheimer’s and returned him home safely on Monday, September 25, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Bodycam footage shows how the deputies, with the help of their K9 team, found the man in a wooded area and returned him to his residence in Riverview.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man “had wandered away from his home,” and “was understandably frightened and confused.”

“This is a heartwarming example of the dedication and compassion our HCSO deputies bring to their jobs every day,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. Credit: Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
