Foo Fighters Address Split Rumours With Hilarious Video

Foo Fighters have hit back at the recent split rumours, sharing a brilliant video response after claims that Dave Grohl could go solo.

There was talk of a potential split after an interview with drummer Taylor Hawkins was published, in which he told Artisan News that the band were on an ‘indefinite hiatus’.

With Dave Grohl performing solo at the Oscars, speculation then grew to new heights when the band tweeted an ‘Official Band Announcement’ video.

However, as it turns out, they were really just trolling and fooling us all, and there’s no massive split or solo careers to announce. HURRAH!

In a hilarious seven-minute video, Dave (in character) starts discussing going solo, saying: “Seen as how that Academy Awards thing went so well, I got to thinking, that maybe it’s time for me to do my own thing.”

Contemplating a move into EDM, he added: “There was something about just being on stage by myself. Nothing against those other guys, I love those guys. They love me. I feel like they’d be really happy for me because I’m holding them back. I’m setting them free. It’s a win-win situation.”

Hearing the news, the rest of the band decide to get together to see what their next step should be.

They consider getting the likes of Phil Collins, Liam Gallagher or Justin Bieber to fill Dave’s spot before a certain Nick Lachey comes in to save the day.

Just in case anyone was still wondering what was going on with the band, the skit ended with a statement which read: “For the millionth time, we’re not breaking up. And nobody’s f***ing going solo!”

Congratulations on fooling us, guys, and we’re glad to hear the split claims were all just rumours.
