Foo Fighters fans tell us the big issues that matter to them - and there was a theme

Foo Fighters fans took over the streets of Cardiff as the US rock stars played the Principality Stadium on Tuesday. With just weeks left until the General Election, we asked fans going to the gig which issues they cared about most.

The themes that cropped up included the NHS, education, housing and votes for younger people. But almost everyone agree on one important issue that would be key - the cost of living crisis.

Bessie, a 27-year-old nursery manager, said she was concerned about low wages and the cost of living crisis forcing a lot of people to move away from where she lives. "If we want to live in our own house we'll have to move quite far which is sad because we'll have to leave our family," she said.

Bessie and her partner Scott said 15-20 years ago they'd have been able to afford a three-bed semi-detached house but this now seems unachievable. He said: "Each year we earn more money but everything seems further and further out of reach. It seems like no matter what we do, no matter how hard we work, everything seems to be one step ahead of us," Scott said.

Gideon Liddiard, a learning and development manager in engineering, said he wanted to see better representation for young people. "I want a party that's going to give proportional representation so that we get a better share of the vote," he said.

Gideon went on to say that bringing in proportional representation would allow him to vote for his favourite party, instead of having to vote tactically.

Jamie McAuley, 30, said he wasn't sure how he was going to vote as he's struggling to trust politicians due to a lack of clarity from the main parties. While another fan, who works as an aircraft cleaner, was particularly concerned about the environment and cost of living crisis. "Things are just getting ridiculously expensive and it's hard to get by every month now," he said. Watch the video in full above.
