Riding high on the success of their 'surprise' appearance at Glastonbury, the Times Like These rockers have revealed they will perform six dates in the UK next summer, with local supporting acts from England, Wales and Scotland.

Dave Grohl and his bandmates will kick of the UK tour in Manchester on 13 June, 2024 and tickets are already on pre-sale.

They will be supported by Australian indie rocker Courtney Barnett on three of the six nights, with other guest performers including Isle Of Wight band Wet Leg, Loose Articles from Manchester, Scottish act Honeyblood, and Welsh garage rock band Himalayas.

The Foo Fighters are hitting the road in July as they begin their tour of Canada, the US, Japan and Brazil.

They are also due to perform in the United Arab Emirates, Australia and New Zealand.

The Everlong rockers performed at Glastonbury 2023 at the weekend and were joined on stage by Grohl's 17-year-old daughter Violet.

Their appearance was billed as a "secret" listed as unknown act The Churnups on the programme — but many fans had guessed their identity ahead of the festival.

The Foo Fighters even fuelled the speculation that they will be back by publishing a thank you letter to their fans in which they said it "feels good to see you, churning up these emotions together."

They played nine songs on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, 23, June from 6.15pm to 7.30pm ahead of Royal Blood and headliners Arctic Monkeys.

Grohl took the train to Worthy Farm in Somerset, with Great Western Rail revealing on twitter: "Even rock royalty knows that there is no better way to travel to Glastonbury than by train! You never know who is going to churn up on board our trains!"

The band last headlined the festival in 2017, having pulled out of Glastonbury 2015 when Grohl fell off the stage at a gig in Sweden and broke his leg.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins was found dead aged 50 in his hotel room in Colombia in March 2022. Veteran session musician Josh Freese is joining the band on their latest tour.
