Food festival ends in brawl as woman left with facial injuries

A woman has been left with facial injuries after a fight broke out between a group of women in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police were called to an area near Devonshire Green on May 18 at 7.45pm following reports that a fight had broken out between multiple women during a local food festival. A woman suffered minor facial injuries in the alleged assault.

Since the incident officers have been following several lines of enquiry and a spokesperson has said they are appealing for anybody who may have any information about the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an assault at an event in Sheffield.

“It is reported that on 18 May at 7.45pm, a fight involving multiple women broke out near Devonshire Green during a local food festival. A woman suffered minor facial injuries in the alleged assault.

“Since the incident officers have been following several lines of enquiry and we are now appealing for anybody who may have any information about the incident to contact us.
