The new store will stock an array of popular brands including Nike, Adidas, Monterrain, Montirex, Berghaus – as well as their own range of exclusive products. The reopening also creates 30 new jobs for the area.

Footasylum, which opens at 9am on Saturday, June 15, will be located in the Lower Red Mall quadrant of the Metrocentre, adjacent to River Island and opposite the brand's old site.

And on opening day, customers who spend £50 in-store will receive a free haircut as part of the store's 'unique barber activation', which is supported by Barber Stop Global, the world's only Barber agency.

A spokesperson for Footasylum, said: "We are delighted that there is a demand for us at Metrocentre and that we can grow our footprint with a new unit at one of the top destinations in the country. We look forward to bringing a great selection of streetwear to the destination and have no doubt we will continue to find success at the centre."

Footasylum claim to have perfectly positioned themselves as the go-to brand for Gen Z shoppers by becoming part retailer, part entertainment brand. The brand has released a Big Brother-inspired online series, ‘Locked In’, which features a number of popular online creators. And they have continued to work across influencer marketing with brand ambassadors including TikTok legend GK Barry and YouTube star Nella Rose.
