Footballers Wives ended 11 years ago – we recently reminded you where the cast are now – but today (July 21) two of its biggest stars reunited on Loose Women.

Gary Lucy, who is returning to his classic role in Hollyoaks as Luke Morgan after 15 years, was joined by his co-star Susie Amy, who played his on-screen wife Chardonnay.

Their super-cheesy wedding is a classic TV moment, but Loose Women panellist Katie Price was convinced the show had ripped off her own wedding to Peter Andre.

Turns out they filmed that in 2002 and Katie married Pete in 2005, so she might have copied their terrible style after all. Awkward.

Looking back at filming that classic episode, Susie said: "I don't think we were drunk, I remember we were up quite late the night before.

"On a day like that, you have to get the full make-up and all the gorgeous props.

"It was so fun, it was one of my favourite jobs, and looking back I feel so lucky to be involved."

She explained that she hoped to appear alongside Gary again one day as she thought he was "gorgeous".

Gary said he'd love to be reunited with Susie in Hollyoaks, if not a Footballers' Wives reunion, after she explained that her agent at the time pressured her into leaving the show and to try working on other things.

The Loose Women panel then got the pair to recreate their infamous wedding scene in the ultimate nostalgia trip, but admittedly it was on a much lower budget.

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
