Liverpool's pre-season is firmly underway but Arne Slot is still yet to complete his first addition as the rumour mill continues to swing into action.

Trio Adrian, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara have all left the club and the Reds are said to be actively exploring options to help bolster the squad ahead of what could be an exciting 2024/25 campaign. It remains to be seen just what kind of player is being shortlisted but the summer window is ticking down.

The Reds are often linked with some of Europe's biggest names but for now, as changes regarding management and personnel continue, not one addition has been made. As we fast approach the weekend and the end of Euro 2024, the ECHO brings you some of the latest gossip surrounding the Reds.

Chiesa interest continues

A name that continues to circle around Liverpool for the last few years has been Federico Chiesa at Juventus. The talented Italian is rumoured to be on the move this summer and a fresh start away from Serie A has been suggested - and he could be available for as little as £20m.

Teamtalk reports that Chiesa is set to be offered to 'Premier League clubs' this summer, and while it remains to be seen who those clubs are, it's likely Liverpool will be among them. With the futures of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah still relatively unknown, it could be an avenue look to explore in the coming weeks.

Arthur Melo on the move

In what can only be described as one of the poorest Liverpool loan signings in recent years, Arthur Melo could now be on his way back to the Premier League, but fear not, he isn't heading back to Anfield any time soon.

According to Gazzetta, the former Liverpool midfielder is likely to move on from Juventus this summer with agent Federico Pastorello working to strike up a deal. Newcastle United and Everton remain interested and there is a suggestion the 27-year-old would like another crack at life in England.
