Former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks is expecting first baby

Ex Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks has revealed she is pregnant with her first child.

The former soap star, best known for her stint as Esther Bloom on the Channel 4 soap, has taken to Instagram to share pictures of herself cradling her baby bump. She also included a snap of the ultrasound scan of her baby, due to arrive later in the year.

"Here's to the biggest adventure yet," Franks wrote in the caption, looking forward to welcoming her child with her partner Danny Potter.

"Summer 2023 is set to be a wild one," she added. "Can't wait to cause mayhem with a mini Franks-Potter."

The happy news was met with an outpouring of love and support from her Hollyoaks co-stars, including Jessica Fox, who announced her own pregnancy last October and recently opened up on her exit from the soap.

"Oh my goodness! Congratulations beautiful lady! How exciting!!" the Nancy Osborne actress wrote.

"Congratulations," Anna Passey (who plays Sienna Blake) commented, with Stephanie Waring (Cindy Cunningham) and former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson) also joining in to celebrate Franks.

"Waaaaahhh. So exciting," Ross Adams (Scott Drinkwell) shared.

Doctor Who star Mandip Gill also shared a sweet shoutout to Franks and Potter, writing: "Congratulations to you both ! Wow wow wow. So so happy for you both !!!!!!"

Franks played Esther on Hollyoaks between 2011 and 2018, with the character relocating to Barcelona to start anew with her friend Ruby Button.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
