A former church which is set to be redeveloped into new homes has been placed on auction for £100,000. The former Free Presbyterian Church, based on Ramsey Road in Horfield, was the previous home of Bristol Free Presbyterian Church.

The disused former chapel, based on a level parcel of land measuring approximately 223 m², is currently for auction with Maggs & Allen for £100,000. The brochure states permission in principle was granted in May 2024 for the redevelopment of the site to provide residential accommodation of one large house or two to three flats may be achievable.

New owners could however retain the existing land and building for community use. In its current state, the windows have been boarded up and the building requires further refurbishment and maintenance.

Its green space is also overgrown and requires cutting back and further landscaping. The pews, tables and chairs inside the former chapel are, however, excluded from the sale.

The brochure adds the land is in a "sought-after" location on Ramsey Road and is located just a short walk away from various independent shops, restaurants and transport links on Gloucester Road. It was the home of Bristol Free Presbyterian Church before its relocation to The Hub on Gainsborough Square in Lockleaze.

This property will be featured in an online auction on July 25 at 6pm. Bidding is via proxy, telephone or online remote bidding.
