Isle of Wight residents are being offered free 12-week netball sessions to aid weight loss and boost activity.

This opportunity is thanks to funding from the Isle of Wight Council and the gloji Exercise Support programme.

The digital platform is designed to work around hectic schedules, allowing eligible locals to engage in free fitness activities and digital weight loss support.

It welcomes participants of all skill levels.

Each session includes a weigh-in, advice from a health coach, and two netball games with breaks and substitutions.

Between weekly games, participants receive digital training, access to hundreds of fitness-oriented articles, and healthy meal-planning ideas.

Alongside this, gloji offers unlimited access to its online gym; equipped with live and on-demand sessions ideal for at-home exercise.

Emma Seabrook, 43, is one of those who has taken part. She said: "I have found it inspiring, and it has enabled me to make healthier life changes.

Limited free spaces are available. Find out if you’re eligible to sign up at https://iow.gloji.org.uk

"The healthier choices I have made to my diet and lifestyle has impacted on my overall health, lowering my blood pressure and cholesterol.

"I would strongly suggest people make time each week to watch the videos, and make little changes on a weekly basis, and then become established with those changes before introducing more changes."

The programme starts on July 29 at Ryde Academy.
