Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can enjoy a family fun day during the summer holidays.

Shine21, a charity supporting parents/carers who have a child aged 0-7 with Down Syndrome, will be holding a family fun day at Moreton Village Hall on Sunday, August 18 from 11am to 4pm.

There will be various activities available such as pony rides, football games, tug of war, face painting, crafts, raffle and tombola and a bouncy castle. Longfleet FC and RNLI mascots will also be attending.

The event is free to attend designed for children with physical challenges as well as those on the autistic spectrum and with severe learning difficulties.

An information zone for parents will also be set up and refreshments are available throughout the day.
