French bistro closes and owners look for new business to take over the site

A popular French bistro has closed and the restaurant site has gone on the market.

Cas-Croute in Hove’s Queen Place closed last month having served “exquisite food in a modern, relaxed setting” for more than a year.

Opening in 2023, the restaurant served a number of French dishes including coq au vin, steamed mussels and rock oysters.

The Argus understands the owners voluntarily stepped away from the site and are looking for a new business to take over the lease.

The 105 square metre site includes display fridges, a 44-cover restaurant and bar space for 20 more people.

The site also includes a two-bedroom and three-bedroom flat which can be let to staff.

Previously the site was the home to Pascals Bar as well as La Fourchette bar and restaurant.

The property is currently under offer.
