French Police Spray Pension-Reform Protesters With Water Cannon in Rennes

French police sprayed a water cannon at pension-reform protesters who marched in the streets of Rennes as nationwide demonstrations took place on Tuesday, January 31.

Video posted by Ewen Bazin on Tuesday shows police hosing down protesters in Rennes.

Local news outlets reported that between 26,000 and 35,000 people participated in the Rennes demonstration alone.

The protest impacted universities, schools, transportation and other public services, local news outlets reported.
