Friends Cast To Reunite For TV Special Next Month

This is NOT a drill—the Friends cast is getting back together on TV more than a decade after the show went off the air.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt Le Blanc are all set to appear together for a two-hour tribute show dedicated to director James Burrows, who helmed numerous episodes of the classic sitcom.

NBC, which aired Friends, will pay homage to Burrows as he celebrates shooting his 1,000th TV episode.

According to TVLine.com, the Friends cast will come together as part of the reunion, due to be taped this month and air in America next month.

As well as the Friends gang, the casts of Will & Grace, Taxi, Cheers and more will also be brought together to appear on the big tribute show.

Stars of The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly are set to appear too, it’s reported.

Burrows recently filmed his 1,000th TV show, an episode of new sitcom Crowded.

Last year, Courteney Cox ruled out a Friends movie or follow-up TV show, admitting it’s hard enough getting the cast together for dinner.

The Monica Geller actress said: “We’ve not really had a Friends reunion. We’ve gotten about 80 percent there but there’s always one person that flakes at the end.”

“I’m not going to name names,” she added when asked if it’s David Schwimmer, her on-screen brother Ross. “But it may not be Schwimmer.”

NBC’s tribute to James Burrows airs in the US on Sunday 21 February
