Arsenal’s squad is looking in pretty good shape in terms of injuries ahead of what are a crucial few games in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners got back to winning ways on Saturday night as they came out as 2-0 winners over Wolves at Molineux. With Man City not in action due to the FA Cup, that result moved Mikel Arteta’s men back to the top of the Premier League table.

They have a chance to extend their lead on Tuesday night when they take on Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium. Ahead of the game, there is a slight doubt over the availability of key man Bukayo Saka.

The forward was spotted limping in the final stages of the win over Wolves, but Arteta will be hoping that he will recover in time for the visit of Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Arsenal will be without Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu, but the former made a goalscoring return to action for the club’s U21s on Monday evening.

Ahead of the game against Chelsea, Arteta spoke of having to hold back his players in training due to the risk of burnout. “When I saw them this morning I have to stop them because winning is a big boost of energy,” he said in his pre-match press conference.

“After the performance against Wolves and winning, they have a London derby tomorrow and everybody is ready for it. Something else is the volume of the games but now is not the moment to look at this. It is just to think in a positive way, to think and feel that we are fresh.”
