Strictly Come Dancing will soon be back on our TV screens as the hit dancing show celebrates its 20th anniversary. The BBC has confirmed the show will return in the autumn, as well as the line-up of presenters, judges and professional dancers for 2024.

Tess Daly will return to present the show from the ballroom floor, while Claudia Winkleman will be back to interview contestants after their dances. The judging line-up also remains the same, with Shirley Ballas as head judge joined by Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.

But there has been a couple of changes to the professional dancers taking part in the show this year, with one big name not appearing and another star rejoining the cast. Amy Dowden is back with the gang after being forced to miss the show last year as she had chemotherapy treatment after finding out she had breast cancer.

But Giovanni Pernice will not join the professional dancers on the show for the first time in nine years. It comes as the BBC have reportedly launched an investigation into claims made against the star by some of his former dancing partners. His most recent partner Amanda Abbington left the show early and later revealed she had been diagnosed with mild PTSD following rehearsals for the show.

Giovanni later strongly denied the 'bullying' claims in a statement, writing: "To my dear fans, You will be as surprised as I am that allegations have been made about my dance teaching methods in the media this week. Of course, I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name.

"Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive. No-one is more ambitious for my dance partners than me. I have always striven to help them be the very best dancers they can be. This has always come from a place of love and wanting to win - for me and my dance partners. Thank you all once again for your continued love and support! Giovanni."
