Full list of Coventry General Election candidates as people urged to vote
The UK General Election 2024 is upon us and people in Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond are being invited to cast their votes and have their say on who should run the country for the next five years.
Polling stations are open today (Thursday) from 7am until 10pm and for the first time in a UK General Election people will need to take photographic proof of ID. You can see what types of ID are accepted in our explainer here.
Public figures have been urging people to go out and have their say in the ballot. Three Coventry seats are up for grabs and the count will take place at the CBS Arena in Coventry with the results expected in the early hours of this morning.

Labour retained all three Coventry seats in the last General Election in 2019.
In addition, seats are up for grabs in Bedworth and North Warwickshire, Nuneaton, Rugby, Kenilworth and Southam, Warwick and Leamington, Stratford-on-Avon, Meriden and Solihull East and Solihull West and Shirley.
