Yahoo News Full list of Gloucester 10K road closures as 1,000 runners to race through city
Hundreds of runners will be resting up in preparation for the Gloucester 10K on Sunday (June 30). The popular event will have a record field of 1,000 runners.
The cross-city race will raise thousands of pounds for charity and is billed as very much a community event. As well as being organised by volunteers, a number of charities will also be supported.
Of course, you can't have hundreds of people running through Gloucester without having to close some roads at certain times. And a list of roads that will be shut has been announced.

The race starts at 8.30am and the last winner is expected to cross the finishing line at around 10.30am. To provide plenty of time, road closures will start at 8am and last until 11am (although roads will be reopened as soon as possible after the last runner has gone through).
Roads to be closed:
Spa Road
Southgate Street from Spa Road to the Kimbrose Triangle
Pitt Street (only likely to be closed until 9.00am)
Commercial Road and Llanthony Road from the Docks up to and including the bridge.
The route will take runners on a 10K chip-timed race around the Cathedral, Gloucester Quays, the canal and the Docks. The race is sold out, but there is a waiting list here.
All monies raised will go to local charities. This year the Hollie Gazzard Trust, Sunflowers Suicide Support and The Chamwell Centre. The event is run entirely by volunteers and organised by Davies and Partners Solicitors and Gloucester Quays Rotary Club.
