A total of 77 candidates across Nottinghamshire will be standing at the upcoming general election after the final deadline passed for people to put themselves forward. People had until 4pm on Friday (June 7) to submit nomination papers to stand in one of Nottinghamshire 11 constituencies at the election on July 4.

With that deadline having passed, the final list of candidates for each of the 11 seats has been published. The seats with the most candidates are Mansfield and Newark, with nine candidates standing in each seat.

The constituencies with the fewest candidates are Nottingham North and Kimberley and Bassetlaw, which each have five. The Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats and the Green Party are standing a candidate in every Nottinghamshire seat.
