Carl Rushworth was the big winner from Swansea City's end-of-season awards on Wednesday evening.

The goalkeeper, on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, picked up two gongs on the night, as the club came together for a glitzy black tie event at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Rushworth picked up the club's Men's Supporters' Player of the Season, as well as the Men's Players' Player of the Season prize, capping off a hugely successful loan spell at SA1.

Rushworth has kept 10 clean sheets during his time with the Swans, having played every minute of every league game this season.

Boss Luke Williams is keen to keep the youngster on board for another season, but appears pessimistic about the club's chances of bringing him back.

"I think it's going to be difficult for us to get him back here," Williams said recently. "He's been incredible and I think he will be the first to say that he's worked with the top goalkeeping coach and it's been a good experience for him.

"If he has some sort of terrible pre-season and it all goes wrong then he'll always be welcome back. But I think it might be difficult because of the level he's at and how much demand there's going to be for him."

Elsewhere on the night, Josh Tymon picked up Best Newcomer of the Season, while Aimar Govea picked up the prize for Academy Player of the Season, and Flip Lissah was named Under-21s Player of the Season.

Captain Katy Hosford, meanwhile, was voted the Women’s Supporters’ Player of the Season, and Ellie Lake received the Women’s Players’ Player of the Season award.
