Erling Haaland remains the big doubt for Manchester City ahead of their visit to the City Ground on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest will host Pep Guardiola's side knowing that relegation rivals Luton Town fell to a 2-1 defeat at Wolves. They remain in the bottom three, just one point from safety and Forest in 17th place.

Haaland missed Thursday's win at Brighton & Hove Albion after he continued to recover from a muscle injury. He was replaced during the Champions League quarter-final defeat to Real Madrid and missed the following clash with Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Asked whether the Norwegian would be available for Forest, Guardiola said: "I spoke with him, and he says he feels better, I don't know." As for the hosts, Willy Boly is expected to remain unavailable having missed the last five games through injury while Taiwo Awoyini remains a doubt as he recovers from a thigh injury.

Awoyini missed a chunk of the season after having groin surgery in a bit to solve a longstanding problem. He made his comeback in January and recently suffered a problem in the build-up to the draw with Luton last month.

"It is a serious injury, unfortunately," Nuno Espirito Santo said recently. "It is a big blow for us because he had just come back (from injury)."
