Fusion Entertainment Signs ‘Ghostlight’ Star Keith Kupferer Ahead of Sundance Premiere (EXCLUSIVE)

Fusion Entertainment has signed Keith Kupferer, the veteran stage and screen actor whose new film “Ghostlight” premieres this week at the Sundance Film Festival. Kupferer has also recently been cast in a recurring role in the new MGM+ series “Emperor of Ocean Park” from John Wells, which is currently in production in Chicago. The thriller series is based on the best selling novel by Stephen L. Carter.

“Ghostlight” centers on Dan (Kupferer), a melancholic middle-aged construction worker, who is grieving a family tragedy. Cut off from his devoted wife, Sharon (Tara Mallen), and talented but troubled daughter, Daisy (Katherine Mallen Kupferer), Dan finds comfort a local theater production of “Romeo & Juliet” featuring a company of amateur actors. “Ghostlight” is directed by Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson, who are also clients of Fusion Entertainment.)

Kupferer will also continue to be repped by the Grey Talent Group.

A seasoned stage performer, Kupferer originated the role of Erik Blake in the Chicago American Theater original production of “The Humans” before it transferred to Broadway. He has performed at such prestigious theaters as Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and together with his wife Tara Mallen Kupferer founded the Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, a theater company in Chicago dedicated to elevating the lives of women through the power of theater.

Other notable theater credits include “God Of Carnage,” “Sweat,” “Passion Play” (Goodman Theatre); “The Seagull,” “The Great Leap,” “Good People” (Steppenwolf Theatre); “Appropriate” ( world premiere/ Victory Gardens Theatre).

On TV, Kupferer guest starred on AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” Showtime’s “The Chi” and “Shameless,” Comedy Central’s “South Side,” and NBC’s “Chicago PD.”

In movies, he has performed in “Widows,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dilemma,” “Stranger Than Fiction,” “Road to Perdition” and “Fred Klaus.”

Fusion Entertainment is also at Sundance with its first film production, “Between the Temples.” The comedy is a co-production with Ley Line Entertainment and stars Carol Kane and Jason Schwartzman.
