In conversation with Lorraine, Gabby expressed: "I come away from every episode thinking well I've learnt something new today. I talk to friends and tell them things I've learnt from experts or people like you that come on the podcast and inspire everyone to get a hold of midlife and do those things you want to do and make those health changes so I decided to get the best of it on paper."

Lorraine acknowledged the common misconception about taking it easy as one gets older, to which Gabby responded: "No, we have to push on."

Gabby then delved into her own health, adding: "I think that we are learning that in terms of exercise you can't slow down. To look after your health you have to keep moving, you've got to eat as well as you can to prevent all kinds of diseases later in life and it's never too late to make those changes."

Looking to the future, she mused: "Personally I'm looking to the future and thinking, what kind of old age do I want and I want to be active, I want to feel like I can do what I want to do mentally and physically and sometimes you do need to make some changes. They could be small or big changes."

She continued by saying: "Sometimes it means talking to people you wouldn't normally talk to or listening to things that challenge your opinions and putting yourself in situations that make you feel uncomfortable and moving out of your comfort zone."

To conclude the interview, Lorraine expressed: "It's all about trying things, just give it a go and be open to new things and I honestly think you just have to push yourself."
