Yahoo News Game of Thrones season 7 finale to leak say HBO hackers
Game of Thrones' season seven finale might be set to leak as HBO hackers have threatened to post episode seven early.
The hackers reportedly contacted Mashable as they continue to try and have their exploits verified by media outlets.
The news comes after the latest episode, 'Beyond The Wall', was leaked when HBO Spain accidentally uploaded the episode five days early, which soon saw it being shared widely online.
Meanwhile episode four 'Spoils of War' also leaked and the episode is thought to have been watermarked with Star India, with four people being arrested in relation to the leak.
According to Mashable the latest batch of information included social media logins for @HBO, @GameOfThrones and @HBOWestworld accounts, although they did not attempt to login and verify this.
However the company did have their social handles compromised in an attack last week, in which the hackers urged HBO to contact them to "upgrade" their security.
In the latest news the hackers claimed to "have access to many HBO Platforms already" before ominously adding to "be ready for GOT S& E6 &E7 as soon as possible".
It is believed that the HBO hackers are demanding a ransom of $6.5 million in the online currency Bitcoin for the reported 1.5 terabytes of stolen information, which has also included information on Westworld season two.
Nevertheless numerous experts and even Jaime Lannister actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have advised the company not to give in.
In a previous statement on the hacking a HBO spokesperson said: "We are not in communication with the hacker and we're not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released.
"It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That's a game we're not going to participate in."
The official trailer for the currently untitled Game of Thrones season 7, episode 7 finale has now been released and it looks like Jon Snow is finally going to confront his greatest enemy, other than the White Walkers.
