When it comes to your garden, many people prefer it to be moss-free garden for a consistent colour scheme. However, a content creator on the Troy Bilt Instagram account, a company that sells lawn and garden equipment, has shared a solution to deal with moss that could enhance your garden's beauty.

"Trying to get rid of moss in your lawn? You could try mixing two ounces of dish soap with one gallon of water," the content creator suggested. "Spray on the moss being careful to not hit too much of your grass, wait for it to turn brown, then rake it up, replacing with grass seed."

However, he also proposed an alternative option of letting the moss live. He said: "Many shady spots don't have enough light for grass, and moss can be a natural solution. You could also accent with other shade-loving plants like ferns or hostas."

Ferns are known for thriving in shady areas and they often flourish in spots that receive partial sunlight or spotty light throughout the day. However, many ferns do not succeed in very dense shade and require some sunlight to achieve their full growth potential, reports the Express.

Meanwhile, hostas absolutely love shade. They struggle in hot afternoon sunlight, so your shaded landscape will offer them ideal conditions.

In the comments section of the video, viewers shared their sentiments about moss, with some expressing confusion over why anyone would want to remove it. "NO! ! I LOVE MOSS," one individual commented. Another chimed in: "Why would you ever want to get rid of moss."
