With any hopes of a Champions League spot now officially over, Manchester United will now focus on trying to secure a place in the Europa League when they take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League tonight.

Antony grabbed his first Premier League goal of the season in United's last outing, but Erik ten Hag's side couldn't pick up three points as they drew 1-1 with Burnley. The draw meant that United have only won one of their last seven 90-minute matches - and that was the 4-2 victory against bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United.

Next up for United is a trip to Palace, with the Eagles finding their feet under Oliver Glasner in recent weeks. The last meeting between the two saw United fall to a 1-0 loss at Old Trafford, and while Palace will be looking to do the double over United, three points will be vital for Ten Hag's side as they look to secure a top six finish.

So, how could United fare against the Eagles? Let's take a look.

Please note, this simulation was completed before the news Harry Maguire will be out for three weeks through injury.

We simulated Crystal Palace vs Manchester United to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We predict that the hosts could line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Richards; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Olise, Eze; Mateta.

We predict that United could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Onana; Dalot, Casemiro, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka; Mainoo, Mount, Fernandes; Amad, Hojlund, Garnacho.

Palace entered the clash in good form, and they showed that in the first five minutes when Jean-Philippe Mateta continued his goalscoring streak with a powerful header from close range. It was a poor start for United, but the response was positive as they instantly went on the front foot.

Alejandro Garnacho and Amad were bright sparks on either wing for United, but Rasmus Hojlund wasn't much help as the striker sent three of their crosses wide of the target in the first half. United were the better side after the restart with Garnacho continuing to cause problems for the Palace back line, and in the 56th minute the Argentine finally got on the scoresheet.

As Olise looked to take on Bruno Fernandes in midfield, the United man made a brilliant tackle to win back possession and set Garnacho free down the left. The winger skipped by Nathaniel Clyne before racing into the box, and from a tight angle he wrapped his foot around the ball to curl his effort into the far corner to make it 1-1.

After his goal last week, Antony was introduced off the bench to try and help find the winner for United, and he should've done so with seven minutes to go. Hojlund's effort from the edge of the box was spilt to the feet of the Brazilian by Dean Henderson, but he somehow blazed his shot over the bar, with the clash ending all square.
