Gaz Beadle and his estranged wife Emma McVey have come together to issue a joint statement in response to them 'moving on' - going their separate ways with new partners.

The Yorkshire-based former duo, who wed in 2021 after starting their romance in 2016, went public with their separation last October. Gaz and Emma, parents to Chester and daughter Primrose, ended their two-year marriage in the previous year.

At that time, Gaz shared that they had agreed to set aside their differences and focus on co-parenting. Since then, both have moved on, with the Geordie Shore celebrity reportedly dating professional golfer Charley Hull, while Emma is said to be seeing someone new. The spotlight on their fresh relationships has prompted them to set the record straight.

The exes have declared that they remain "really good friends" and are each "happy and happy for one another" despite being involved in "new relationships". Emma has stated that all four individuals involved "get along well", contrary to what some might suggest, reports the Mirror.

In an Instagram post last week, Emma clapped back at a "moving on quick" comment on a video of her new partner saying "it's been 10 months lovely". Gaz also shared a health problem he had been battling for 12 months last week as he then addressed rumours about his own new relationship.

Gaz took to Instagram to shed light on the matter. In his post, he expressed frustration at having to defend their private lives due to false speculation. "We hate the fact we have to justify ourselves but when there's so much speculation on our lives that isn't true we have to," he penned.

"Me and Emma are better than we ever have been, we speak daily and are really good friends. Our marriage broke down a long time before we publicly announced we were separating, and it's taken a lot to get where we are now but we are both happy and happy for each other."

The 36 year old continued: "Our main focus through it all has been the kids, and we've done everything to make sure their lives stay settled and happy. Both of us are in new relationships and we all get along well, and we can say we are so proud of ourselves to be able to all stay as one team. Thanks."

This statement follows Emma's candid revelations about single parenthood. Earlier this year, she expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating: "A little life update...I want to say thank you for the lovely messages and comments you guys send daily. Without you, I wouldn't have my main job, so thank you for being so supportive."

She added: "I also wanted to touch on life recently. I'm slow and not as responsive because the mental load atm is so much and life is 1000mph. But as for being a newly single mum. I'm actually the happiest I've been in a long time, it's just a struggle to juggle life sometimes."
