Gemma Atkinson has shared a countdown to her and Gorka Marquez's return to screens as she told her fans and followers 'not long now'. It was previously revealed that the couple are making a TV comeback as another series of their very own reality show was commissioned.

Gemma and Gorka, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, appeared in their own reality TV series ahead of the arrival of their second child and showed the pair opening up their lives and Greater Manchester home to the cameras as they documented their second pregnancy journey and the "absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

Following the success of the show, and Thigo's arrival back in July, it was revealed in January, the pair would be letting the cameras back in to share more of their life unfiltered in the second series of Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens for UKTV’s free-to-air entertainment channel W and streaming service UKTV Play.

It will once again see the couple will open their doors to their private life and offer viewers an intimate look into their world, as they embrace full-on family chaos since becoming a family of four. And earlier this week, they confirmed the air date of the upcoming second series.

Hits Radio host Gemma has since shared a trailer to Instagram in which she could be seen in the early stages of being a mum-of-two as four-year-old daughter Mia could be heard introducing her family - including pet pooches Ollie and Norman - one by one before they were seen cracking on with family and work life.

"Here we go!" Gemma started the caption of her post on Instagram. "Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens series 2. Starts 6th May at 8pm on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay Thank you so much you for sticking with us. It means a lot."

Now, on Friday (April 26), the mum-of-two has shared some thoughts about the show now it is just days away from airing. Resharing the trailer to her Instagram Story, Bury-born Gemma wrote: "10 days to go!!! Have to say a HUGE thank you to our wonderful crew on this!"

She then shared a video of herself talking directly to the camera on her Instagram Story and said: "Not long to go, 6th May! Also, when we started filming this, we started filming really early January. Thiago was only five months old and I thought it was really important to...

"I get really lovely messages now when I'm training saying, 'How did you get your tummy like this? And 'my son's four months and I'm this' and I just need to be really clear with you all, I look nothing like I do now when we filmed this series because Thiago was five months old and that wasn't natural or normal for me. Everyone's post-partum journey is different but I'm just hoping when you watch the series and you see it's not like I am now, not that it makes people feel better, it's just relatable.

"I don't want everyone to feel they're not in the right place when it comes to how they look because they've had a baby. You've grown a human.... I don't want anyone to ever feel how they are straight after a baby, you feel 'I'm not going to look like this. I'm not going to do that' because it takes time.

"I'm still not where I was and he's 10 months but we said to the channel it's got to be like the first series, real and honest. So yeah, I've watched some of the rough cuts back with Gorka and I've gone, 'Oh my God I look awful, I look exhausted!' and the reality is I had a 20-week-old baby and Gorka was working away so of course I do. Of course I don't look my gleaming self. My hair didn't look like this in any of the episodes but hopefully, it's relatable because of that. I just want to be real."
