Gemma Atkinson says 'I'm back' as she offers update after leaving fans concerned

Gemma Atkinson has told fans she's 'back' after seemingly being messaged about her silence on social media. The Hits Radio host is usually keeping her followers updated on what she's up to - from her work commitments to home life with fiance Gorka Marquez and their two children.

But Gemma has now said that she's been having a 'bit of a week' as she thanked her fans for checking in to see if she and the family were OK following her lack of updates.

Sharing a video to her Instagram Story as she was at work at Hits Radio where she co-hosts the drivetime slot with Mike Toolan: "I'm back! I've had loads of lovely messages asking if I'm ok because I've not posted on here for a few days... I am, yes. Thank you!"

She continued with a laugh and a smile: "It's been a bit of a week, I won't bore you. But we're all ok. We move on. As Freddie said, 'The show must go on!' But yeah, we're all fine. Thank you for checking in!"

And Gemma, 39, later had quite the welcome home as she headed back to Bury to be welcomed on the doorstep by Gorka and Mia sporting Spanish football tops and waving homemade flags. "Home to this," she wrote alongside the video with a crying laughing emoji as she was heard calling it "brilliant" from behind the camera.

Gemma has since returned to social media with a look at one of her most recent workouts in her and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka's home gym. Setting the video of herself working up a sweat to Eminem's 'Houdini', the mum-of-two wrote: "Bit of this, bit of that.

"It’s crazy hair day at school today hence the purple streak in mine, I was the Guinea pig before spraying on Mia. I love training my upper body. I’m trying desperately to feel the same about running which I have today."
