Gemma Atkinson says 'I wouldn’t be with him' as she and Gorka Marquez address 'deal breaker'

Gemma Atkinson appears to have revealed her 'deal breaker' when it came to her relationship with Gorka Marquez after she received a message from a fan following the first episode of the new series of their reality show.

The Hits Radio host and her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance have once again invited the cameras into their home and have returned to the small screen with series two of Gemma and Gorka; Life Behind the Lens.

The couple, who met on Strictly back in 2017, first appeared in their own reality TV series ahead of the arrival of their second child. It showed the pair opening up their lives and Greater Manchester home to the cameras as they documented their second pregnancy journey and the "absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

Following the success of the show and the arrival of their second child, son Thiago, it was revealed in January that the pair would be letting the cameras back in to share more of their life unfiltered in another series for UKTV’s free-to-air entertainment channel W and streaming service UKTV Play, this time for six episodes with the first airing on Monday (May 6).

Meanwhile, on Thursday (May 9), Gemma opened up her inbox to fans to ask her questions as she regularly gets asked about her fitness regime and food habits but she was also quizzed on family life with Gorka and their two children - four-year-old Mia and Thiago, now nine months.

Following the return of her and Gorka's reality series, one follower messaged Gemma and said: "It comes across on your show that Gorka doesn't like the dogs. Is it true?" They were referring to the Bury-born star's beloved pet pooches Norman and Ollie and alongside a picture of the pair, he said; "If he didn't like dogs I wouldn't be with him!"

She added: "We come as a package. Love me, love my dogs," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. Gorka then reshared the post and gave his own response, writing: "YES!!! I love Norms and Olly but not as much as Gem does..." alongside a crying laughing and a face palm emojis.

It comes after Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, opened up about their idea of a 'date night'. Asked if they ever get time to spend time together alone as a busy family-of-four, Gemma said: "We’re asked if we have date nights but we just love being at home. It's like the childhood punishment of going to bed early and staying in become adult pleasures.

"A date night for us, if my sister or mum can have the kids, is to go and do a big shop together in peace because you can't do that with kids. Gorka would cook the most amazing meal and we'll sit on the couch and watch a series or a film. And then we’d have an early night and wake up in the morning, go for a gym session and brunch - that’d be the ideal. We're not fussed about going to a restaurant, although we went out for sushi for our anniversary."

Gorka added: "We were in bed by 9.30pm! We love it. I'd rather wake up early and go for a coffee and a piece of cake or brunch in the morning when it’s quiet while everyone is still asleep because they had a late night. That's my perfect plan."
