Dancing on Ice contestant Gemma Collins has quit social media – until at least this weekend, that is.

Following her highly-publicised row with judge Jason Gardiner last Sunday (January 20), it appears as though the TOWIE star is taking time away from the internet to focus on her ice skating skills.

Posting a mash-up meme of Ariana Grande's 'thank u, next' music video and a clip from her fiery argument on the show – in which she shouts "Boring!" and "Next!" to Jason – Gemma shared a short statement with her followers.

She said: "Guys after today I can't be on social as I really need to up my skating skills. I'm not leaving you but I really need to focus. here's a little something to keep you going xxx il be back up and running Sunday @gemmareacts."

So basically, she'll be gone for four days in total. Reckon they'll cope without her?

Gemma's dancing partner Matt Evers has now come forward with his reflection on the row, stating that he agrees with Jason's routine criticism, but can't defend his more personal remarks.

"He compared her to Anna Nicole Smith, which I think is a little bit degrading," Matt explained. "It's just not cool. There is a way to criticise someone constructively, and then there's just putting them down.

"I think she took it a little personal. That he was making fun of her as a human being".

Dancing on Ice returns this Sunday (January 27) at 6pm on ITV.
