‘Gen V’ Star Chance Perdomo Dies at 27

Chance Perdomo, the actor known for his roles on “Gen V” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” has died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” the actor’s representatives said in a statement announcing the news. “Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

Born in Los Angeles in 1996, Perdomo grew up in England and studied acting at London’s National Youth Theatre, maintaining dual citizenship throughout his life. He rose to prominence for his role as Ambrose Spellman on the “Riverdale” spinoff series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” from 2018-2020. He later starred in “Gen V,” a spinoff of “The Boys” that was renewed for a second season at Prime Video in October 2023. The show has already announced plans to delay Season 2 in light of the tragic news.

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,” the “Gen V” producers said in their own statement. “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
