The results for each constituency in today's General Election will be announced as and when the votes have been counted and verified.

Because each constituency is manned individually there can be a significant time gap between seats. In the last General Election in 2019 Newcastle upon Tyne Central was the first result to be announced, at 11.27pm, but the record is held by Sunderland which declared the first of its three seats at the 2001 election at 10.43pm.

Looking back to the last General Election, held in December 2019, the following can be used as a rough idea of when results will be announced this year. Based on the last election, voters in Lancashire will be looking at between 1am and 4am for their constituency to be announced.

It's worth bearing in mind that constituency boundary changes, such as those affecting Pendle, Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley, could have an impact on result timings.
