Boundary changes impact: Edmonton was a Labour stronghold and the newly drawn constituency will remain so, albeit by less. The party’s vote share is seen falling to 58.2% from 65% on the old boundaries in 2019, according to analysis for Sky News by Professor Michael Thrasher.

YouGov MRP poll prediction: Labour hold.

Evening Standard view: Kate Osamor’s return to the Commons will ensure the survival of a significant voice of the London Left in what is expected to be a largely centrist Labour government under Sir Keir Starmer.

She was suspended from the Labour whip in January for comments made about Holocaust Memorial Day following the war in Gaza, but was reinstated in May, just in time for the election.
