Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby shares health update after falling ill with infection

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has told her fans how she became ill after contracting an infection.

She shared an update on her health on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday morning and said her mum had also been in hospital. She wrote: "2 hospitals, 4 attempts at taking bloods, 2 attempts at fitting a canula and 7 hours later. I'm home with finally the right medication and the first lot given intravenously."

The Sunderland-born reality TV star, mum to daughter Alba, added: "A very very long night last night! My poor mam is also so poorly with a viral infection and can't even open one eye anymore......and she stayed with me the whole time we are both resting up today."

Charlotte, well-known for appearing in the MTV reality series Geordie Shore and winning the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother, then posted a video of herself and her mum in bed watching The Kardashians, reports the Mirror. She said: "She's a very poorly mama. She's got viral infection and I've got bacterial. Both in the wars thank god albas in nursery today because Jake's working in London."

After her social media message, Charlotte was flooded with supportive comments on her main grid, as fans and her fiancé Jake Ankers rushed to send their love. "Lets focus on getting you better," Jake told his future wife, as a fan penned: "Hope you are ok @charlottegshore send my love to you xxx."
