Marnie Simpson has made a shock return to Geordie Shore, after a fierce clash with co-star Charlotte Crosby last series.

Marnie joined the cast of the MTV show over a decade ago, immediately causing a stir as the cousin of original Sophie Kasaei and her ruffling a few feathers by getting close to both Scotty T and Gaz Beadle, causing her to be shunned by the other girls in the house on numerous occasions. Having left Geordie Shore behind a few years ago, Marnie went onto star in spin-off Geordie OGs, before returning, alongside Charlotte, Sophie and many others for the reunion in 2022.

After the success of that series, the cast overseas again for the second time in 12 months last year, jetting to Cyprus, after Marnie's wedding to husband Casey Johnson had been captured on camera. Marnie headed abroad to film with Casey and the couple's two children, with Charlotte also taking baby daughter Alba Jean.

And tensions erupted between the pair over a dirty high chair in their shared villa, with things kicking off so much that Charlotte, other half Jake and Alba, packed up and left, before flying home earlier than scheduled and Charlotte declaring she was 'gone for good' from the show.

Marnie and Casey stayed put to film the rest of the series, but Marnie was left upset by things said about her and Casey and their two boys by trolls online, leading to speculation she had too quit. However, in a surprising turn of events, she was seen on the Instagram story of co-star Chantelle Connelly on Thursday, as production on the new series of Geordie Shore takes place in Thailand.

Having been over the other side of the world since last week, the cast, also including the likes of Scotty T, Chloe Ferry, Ricci Guarnaccio and James Tindale, headed out to celebrate Kyle Christie's stag do, with all of them wearing t-shirts with his face on to mark the occasion.
