Georgia-Tennessee Tops College Football Week 12; Florida State’s Win Over North Alabama Sets Audience Record For The CW

It was another slow week for college football.

Once again, no games were able to crack the 6M viewer mark, though Georgia-Tennessee came close with 5.73M viewers on CBS. That’s quite the audience decline from last week, when the No. 1 game drew more than 9M viewers.

Week 12 also featured Michigan-Maryland, which drew the second largest audience with 5.43M people tuning in on Fox.

Washington-Oregon State came in third with 4.73M viewers on ABC. Rounding out the top five games were two additional games on the Disney-owned broadcaster — Louisville-Miami with 2.89M and USC-UCLA with 2.65M.

On the CW, Saturday’s ACC matchup between North Alabama and Florida State delivered 1.3M viewers, which is the network’s largest primetime audience in more than six years. It was also The CW’s best Saturday night primetime audience since national programming began on the network in October 2021.

As always, several networks are not Nielsen-rated, meaning their audiences aren’t reported week-over-week. Those include the SEC Network, ACC Network, CBS Sports Network, and the Pac-12 Network. ESPN+ and Peacock are also not Nielsen-rated for live programming.
