Much like a swipe of red lippie, a set of eye-enhancing lashes makes for a classic, easy way to glam up for a special occasion when a coat of mascara just doesn’t cut it. Luckily for you, the GHI has been busy testing a range of falsies to find the most flattering styles that are easy-to-apply, comfortable and will last all evening.
Over 150 women tried 12 pairs of lashes at home. The winning set? Ardell’s Natural 174 Lashes, which earned an impressive score of 85/100. Best of all, they’re just a fiver – not bad, considering they’re reusable too.
With a double-layered curl that’s slightly longer at the outer corners, these will give your real lashes a subtle boost of volume and length. So, if you’re nervous about things looking too ‘fake’, these are a good bet – they’ll enhance your eyes without leaving you looking like a Love Island contestant.
Our testers loved this set, they told us that they liked the lashes’ understated appearance that helped to enhance their natural features. A high 87% of panellists thought they were comfy to wear and the falsies also earned praise how easy they were to apply. Most importantly, they stayed put for a full nine hours – the longest time out of all those we tried. Nobody likes checking the mirror and realising their eyelash is peeling off at the corner, after all.
