Girl attacked in East Kilbride as police launch appeal to find Good Samaritan

Police have launched an appeal after a Good Samaritan stepped to stop an attack on a girl in East Kilbride.

The assault is believed to have taken place in the Glen Cannich area at around 8pm on Wednesday, April 24. It was later reported to law enforcement on Monday, April 29.

The victim did not suffer any injuries during the assault. Officers are now searching for a man who intervened during the ordeal.

Investigators are also appealing for any other witnesses to come forward.

Constable Andrew McLeod, from East Kilbride Police Station, said: “If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0792 of April 29, 2024.”
