Our Girl is putting fans through pretty much all of the feels as it continues to tease a reconciliation for Georgie and Elvis.

Fans have been shipping Michelle Keegan and Luke Pasqualino's characters for more than a year now, ever since Elvis re-appeared in Georgie's life (in the line of duty) after jilting her at the altar.

Both are now working for the army on humanitarian missions in the Middle East, making it slightly awkward to do their jobs with smouldering sexual tension growing more intense by the second.

In Tuesday's episode, the pair were sent to lead a small unit on a covert and extremely dangerous mission deep into Afghanistan. Also along for the ride was Private Maisie Richards (Shalom Brune-Franklin), who has butt heads with Georgie all series long.

The mission went south almost immediately when their convoy came under fire, forcing Georgie and her crew to seek refuge undercover. The crew were ultimately detected once again, as they faced gunfire from enemy troops that took down several members.

In the thick of chaos, Maisie found it the perfect time to express her interest in Elvis... before he whisked her off to have 'the talk' about their recent hook-up.

When Elvis broke the news that he wanted to call off their fling because he has feelings for "someone else", Maisie twisted the knife with a smile on her face.

"Seriously? Give yourself a break. It was one pissed-up night?" she first assured him, before dropping the bombshell: "It's none of my business. I hope that other girl isn't Georgie. She's got a bloke back in [previous mission site] Nepal."

With that bit of pot-stirring, Maisie definitely did not endear herself to the Georgie and Elvis shippers watching at home (warning: NSFW reactions below):
