Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle pulls out of Kubix in Sunderland as as 90s boyband replace her

Nadine Coyle has pulled out of Kubix Festival in Sunderland this weekend, giving 'exhaustion' as her reason, after a hectic few months on the road with the rest of Girls Aloud. But the good news for fans with tickets is that there won't be a gap in the line-up as her replacemewnt has already been revealed.

Having tried her luck as a solo artist, as well as competing on shows like I'm A Celebrity, Nadine got back together with her Girls Aloud bandmates in May for their sold out UK and Ireland arena tour. Kicking off in Dublin, it then took the Brit winners to a whole host of different cities, including Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Belfast, Nottingham and Liverpool, where the dates came to an end on June 30.

Nadine was announced a solo act for Kubix long before the Girls Aloud tour began, but now, with just days to go, it's been announced by organisers that she will no longer appear as planned. A statement from organisers read: "Unfortunately Nadine Coyle is no longer able to play Kubix due to exhaustion but we hope she gets plenty of rest and will be inviting her back to a future Festival!"
