Glasgow busker joined by X Factor band in 'unexpected performance' on Buchanan Street

A Scottish busker has been joined by a former X Factor band with the group singing on Buchanan Street in Glasgow.

Uploading the video of the "unexpected performance" on TikTok, Ryan, also known as The Opera Guy, he said in his caption: "A little clip of an unexpected performance with @G4 Official in Glasgow."

G4, a four-piece British group who rose to fame when they finished second in series one of The X Factor in 2004, are known for their operatic delivery of modern pop songs. The band happened to be walking by when Ryan called them over to join him.

Compromised of Duncan Sandilands, Jonathan Ansell, Mike Christie and Jai McDowall, the band's famous covers include My Way, Circle of Life and Bohemian Rhapsody which catapulted them into instant stardom.

In the clip band member, Jonathan Ansell, says: "It's not every day you walk out to the streets and you've just been interviewed by Heart.

"We're G4, this is The Opera Guy and we are thrilled to share this song with you here today, Glasgow. Enjoy the performance."

Performing Nessun Dorma, the five men sang their hearts out and ended it with cheers and claps from the public.
