A Glasgow singer-songwriter has shared a major update after Post Malone offered to help pay for his first ever home with his partner.

When Gregor Coleman, 31, was playing his usual Friday night gig at Glasgow's Wunderbar, he would never have expected a global rapper would walk into the bar and transform his life moments later.

Last May, after performing at the Hydro, superstar Post Malone enjoyed a night on the town when he stumbled into Wunderbar where Gregor happened to be finishing the end of his set.

Gregor was later invited over to his table having surprised the 'Sunflower' rapper with his "amazing" vocals.

Recalling the incredible moment, Gregor told Glasgow Live: "He asked me to have a drink with him but at the time I had stopped drinking because I was saving for the house so when anyone asked if I wanted a drink I was so use to saying 'no thanks, I'm saving for a house', which is how it all came about.

"He asked how I was getting on with it and how much I needed. At the time my girlfriend and I had saved around half of our deposit, over a year and a bit we had saved ten grand and he said he'd give me the other ten."

A shocked Gregor - who has also sung in a bar with Paulo Nutini - was then invited to Post Malone's after party at Kong where he was asked to perform. The local musician thought he was "joking", but they partied into the night with Gregor describing it as a "whirlwind".

This once in a life-time meeting totally transformed Gregor and his partner Erin's life, with the lovely couple now "settled" into their first ever home.

As well as helping with their deposit, Post Malone gave Gregor his personal number and asked him to share original songs with him - he said he "wants to see him at the top".

Following on from the life-changing night, Gregor and Erin splashed out on last minute tickets to watch Post Malone live at his second gig at the Hydro on the Saturday evening.

Luckily, a cheque arrived for Gregor just days before their proof of funds were due and the couple moved in at the end of September last year.

Gregor continued: "So, we eventually got the house! I just haven't shared any updates because we've been so busy getting furnishings, etc.

"Now that we're settled I thought we'd post an update and thank him for this incredible gesture."

Gregor regularly keeps in touch with the rapper and his team and has been working hard to get some recorded music across in the hopes to 'make it'.

Discussing his music, Gregor added: "Now that I'm settled in I can now focus on writing and recording - I'm working on songs and posting snippets online so the plan is to get enough songs and send them over to him. His manager actually liked my post which was cool.

Gregor has since personally thanked Post Malone and his team and said they "couldn't have done it without him".

Posting an update to TikTok, he wrote: "I never did a follow up on this, we are now in and settled and still think about this crazy story every day."

Post Malone's manager sent Gregor a kind message reading: "Brilliant, so happy we got it sorted for you. Don't let us down, we want to see you at the top." Gregor is now determined to work hard to make it happen!
