Glasgow pubs showing Euro 2024 matches as city gets behind Scotland squad

Glasgow has officially gone Euros-daft with Scotland's first match against host nation Germany just around the corner.

And while a rumoured 200,000 members of the Tartan Army are heading off to Germany to support the national team in person, even more of us will be glued to our TVs as we watch them in the very first match of the tournament tomorrow.

Scotland will kick off the Euros alongside Germany on Friday night at 8pm in the UK from Allianz Arena in Munich, which is 9pm CET. Euro fan zones are popping up around the city where fans can enjoy all of the Euro's action in venues with huge screens, food and drink and match-day atmosphere.

Meanwhile, plenty of people will be settling down with a few drinks to watch the match from home, where it can be watched on ITV, ITVX and STV. All channels are free to view with coverage of the game starting from 6.30pm on ITV and STV.

However, if you're looking to head out to. a pub with some friends to watch the match over a pint or two, then there is an endless selection to pick from all across Glasgow.

If you're sticking around the city centre, then the Horseshoe Bar will of course be airing the action for all the tournament's games.

Posting on social media, they said: "Bring your Friends, wear your tops, kilts and show your support and let's make it a Euro's to remember, get here early we open from 11am and it's sure to be a night to remember and bring the noise as we want them to hear us in Germany."

Meanwhile, Felsons - one of the newer bars in the city centre - is delivering the full sports bar experience with every game being shown on their many TV screens. Just below Felsons, is Walkabout, which is also sure to be a popular choice for fans in the city centre.

Over in the west end, Coopers by Kelvinbridge is as football-daft as it gets and will be showing every match of the Euros. The nearby Old Schoolhouse will also be airing the match, saying, "there's nothing we love more than a packed out pub with a buzzing atmosphere and a sea of colour for every football match throughout the tournament. Bookings recommended (but walk-ins welcome!). Bring the starting 11 down for a summer to remember!" Just next door,

Meanwhile, in Finnieston the Snaffle Bit will also be showing all the matches for keen fans looking to enjoy a pint with alongside the game.

Down in the south side, the Granary on Kilmarnock Road in Shawlands will be airing the matches for fans and is an extra good choice if you want to bring your pooch along as the pub is dog-friendly.

In Mount Florida, Clockwork will also be airing the matches for fans and in Langside, the Church on the Hill is of course airing all games, saying, "join us to watch The Euros live at Church on The Hill. We’ll be showing every game across our 13 screens! It’s almost time for sports madness, flowing pints and our usual unbelievable scran."

And in the east end, West on the Green will also be showing the matches live and even including some food and drink specials such as their Tartan Army loaded fries.

Meanwhile, Drygate has launched their very own 'A Brew from the Terrace' - a Bovril-flavoured stout in partnership with the popular BBC Scotland TV show. Needless to say, they are also airing the games.

FInally, BAaD will be hosting the Germany v Scotland game tomorrow as well as the other Euros matches to follow.
