Glasgow is set for another scorcher this weekend as temperatures soar to 22C in the city.

Experts predict Saturday, May 18, to be the hottest day of the week as we reach 21 to 22C in the afternoon. Experts predict early fog on Saturday morning, which will soon lift and make way for some sunshine in the afternoon.

Although, in true Scottish style a few showers of rain are also expected throughout the day.

The lowest temperature for Saturday is said to be 11C which will shortly heat up to 19C by midday before peaking at 22C by 3pm.

Discussing Saturday's conditions, BBC Weather said: "Early fog may be slow to lift on Saturday morning. Variable cloud and dry conditions otherwise. A little more in the way of sunshine in the afternoon, albeit with the odd isolated shower."

The taps-aff map predicts that temperatures this weekend will reach a level where clothing should be removed to experience the full joy of the rare warm weather in and around Glasgow.

It comes after locals enjoyed a mini heatwave last weekend with highs of 24C, before thunderstorms quickly took over.
