Glastonbury 2024 secret set rumours as surprise performance confirmed

Every year, Glastonbury surprises music fans with secret sets and 2024 will be no different.

In previous years, the festival has seen huge names including The Killers, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga and The Vaccines arrive at the Somerset farm for a special surprise performance. This year, there are multiple slots left in the festival's schedule for acts to be announced, meaning multiple secret sets could take place.

Sometimes, secret acts even appear on the line-up under different names. In 2023, Churn-Ups appeared on the line-up but they turned out to be the Foo Fighters, presenting under a false band name.

When are Glastonbury's secret sets?

There are eight slots that haven’t been announced yet. They are:

• Friday June 28: Wishing Well, 8.45pm and 11pm

• Friday June 28: Firmly Rooted, 1am

• Saturday June 29: BBC Introducing Stage, 4.30pm

• Saturday June 29: Woodies Stage, 6pm

• Saturday June 29: Levels, midnight

• Sunday June 30: BBC Introducing Stage, 7.30pm

• Sunday June 30: Wishing Well, 9pm

Who is rumoured to be a secret act?

With several slots yet to be announced for this year's Glasto, including a 6pm Saturday performance at the Woodies Stage - these are the rumoured surprise performances:

• Kasabian

• Liam Gallagher

• Pulp

• Kings of Leon

• Green Day

• Harry Styles

• The Killers

• Weezer

• The XX

• Vampire Weekend

According to betting sites, Kasabian and Liam Gallagher are favourites. The Fire hitmakers are just 4/6 to rock up to Glastonbury, after they were heavily rumoured to be playing at the Somerset site.

Kasabian are also playing a homecoming show at Leicester's Victoria Park, so a surprise Glastonbury performance might be the ideal preparation to get their live show juices flowing again.

How do you find out about surprise acts?

Glastonbury's onsite newspaper provides information into what’s happening around the festival ground - including last-minute gigs and hints about certain secret slots. Keeping your eye on the internet is also a good way to spot a surprise.
