Glastonbury: Marriage proposal caught on TV during Elton John's headline set
Over 7 million people watched the pop legend's last ever UK gig
Glastonbury 2023 brought with it many iconic moments, especially during Elton John's headlining set but perhaps none were more noteworthy than the couple who got engaged while the Rocket Man singer was performing.
Broadcast by the BBC, the corporation's cameras caught a marriage proposal in the midst of the huge crowd.

The moment came during Tiny Dancer, which saw John joined by The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers.
The cameras captured the couple embracing lovingly and the man getting to his feet after popping the question on bended knee.

Viewers could also see the bride to be toying with her ring after it was placed on her finger.
Good Morning Britain have also started a campaign to try and identify the couple. The breakfast show posted on Twitter: "At Glastonbury last night, one couple got engaged in the crowd as Elton John sang Tiny Dancer with The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. Do you know who the couple are that got engaged?"

Over seven million people tuned in to watch John's set which he has said will be his last ever UK concert. According to the BBC, the performance was viewed by 7.3 million people though that figure does not include people who watched on iPlayer.
The headline set had a 50% audience share and almost twice as many viewers as Paul McCartney's performance last year.
John's set — which has garnered critical acclaim — featured special guests Brandon Flowers, Rina Sawayama, Jacob Lusk and Stephen Sanchez. There had earlier been speculation that the music legend might be joined by stars such as Britney Spears, Dua Lipa and Eminem – all artists John had previously collaborated with.
John is set to continue his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour around Europe before wrapping up his live performing career in Sweden next month.
The tour is already the highest grossing tour in history.
